East Mills and Stanton continued to flex their respective muscles in District 8 8-man play Friday night. Both teams reached the 60-point mark and share the top spot at the top of district play.
The Wolverines put up another great defensive effort as they shut out a team that had put up 56 points the previous week, and defeated South Page 60-0. Stanton meanwhile crushed Essex 62-8. Both teams have some work to do, but are on a collision course for their Oct. 9 meeting in Stanton.
In other action Friday night Villisca defeated Hamburg 34-8 and Sidney whipped Farragut 52-14.
In action this Friday night East Mills will travel to Sidney, Stanton is at Farragut, Villisca visits South Page and Hamburg is at Essex.
